Finally, Apple has confirmed a date for its next iPhone reveal event. The early September event meets the date mentioned in previous leaks. The Cupertino giant is calling the event ‘Awe Dropping’ suggesting major announcements, but most of what’s to come has been leaked over the past couple months. The website has been updated as well showing the date and time for the event, along with an interesting Apple logo banner.
Apple will hold its ‘Awe Dropping’ event on September 9 at 10 am PT. It will be livestreamed on YouTube and on the official website. Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 17 series, new Apple Watch and Apple Watch Ultra models, new AirPods Pro, and more. The website has an interactive Apple logo that has sort of a thermal reactive effect when you move the mouse over it. However, it doesn't seem to be reactive on Windows machines.
It does feature a Liquid Glass look and has a combination of light blue, dark blue, and orange, and red colors. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman shared his interpretation of the colors on X stating the orange in the logo signifies the new iPhone 17 Pro color option. The light blue is meant to signify the iPhone 17 Air and the ‘Awe Dropping’ (a play on jaw dropping) bit is for the impressively thin and light form factor of the iPhone 17 Air.
Speaking of color options, the iPhone 17 Pro is expected to come in orange (Pantone Papaya), dark blue (Pantone Mood Indigo), and dark gray colors. The iPhone 17 Air, on the other hand, is said to come in a black, white, light blue, and light gold colors.
The event will likely also introduce the Apple Watch 11, Apple Watch Ultra 3, and possibly an Apple Watch SE 3. In the audio segment, the AirPods Pro 3 and a HomePod mini are expected.
