Anker has teased a new USB-C charger with a smart display on social media in China. In a recent post on Weibo, the brand announced that an accessory designed for the recently released Apple iPhone 17 Pro would be released in this market later in September.
While the post and its images do not confirm the name of this new Anker USB-C charger, it is shown with model number A121D. This accessory is expected to offer an up to 45W output; an image of the underside of the device reveals that it will offer 'X5W' power. Apple has stated that its new iPhone 17 Pro can be charged to 50% charge in 20 minutes with a minimum 40W adapter, hence the theory that this is a 45W charger.
Anker also indicates that this compact charger will have folding pins. Plus, it will have a digital display like the brand’s new Charger (140W, 4-Port, PD 3.1) ($99.99 at Amazon), to show charging information. Based on this description, the teased accessory sounds similar to the rumored model A2693, a 45W USB-C charger with a digital display. It is currrently unclear how these two products will differ.
The new Anker USB-C charger with smart display will be officially unveiled in China on September 27th. It remains to be seen how much the product will cost in this country, and whether or when it will be released in other countries worldwide.
