Twelve South recently launched the PlugBug with Find My, alongside the PowerBug and ButterFly SE – two new charging solutions with Qi2 wireless technology. The PlugBug offers up to four USB-C ports and delivers up to 120 watts of power. It also supports Find My, effectively integrating AirTag functionality for global device tracking.
Four variants of the PlugBug with Find My are available directly from Twelve South. The 50-watt and 120-watt US versions are priced at $59.99 and $99.99, respectively. The Travel Edition, also available in both output options, is listed at $79.99 and $129.99 and includes plug adapters for use in numerous countries.
The PlugBug with Find My features either two (50 watts) or four (120 watts) USB-C ports, depending on its power output, enabling users to charge multiple devices simultaneously. The total output is distributed across the individual ports when several devices are connected. Despite its power capacity, the charger remains relatively compact thanks to the use of highly efficient GaN technology.
As the name suggests, one standout feature of the PlugBug with Find My is undoubtedly its support for Apple’s Find My network, essentially giving it a built-in AirTag. This allows users to track the PlugBug almost anywhere via a global network of Apple devices. It is useful not only for recovering the charger if it gets lost, but also for keeping tabs on a bag or suitcase whilst travelling.
