Analogue Pocket: The luxury Game Boy will be orderable from next week for US$199.99
It has been nine months since Analogue announced the Pocket, a handheld that will play Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance cartridges natively. The Pocket supports Neo Geo, Atari Lynx and Game Gear cartridges via adapters too. Since its announcement in October 2019, Analogue has updated the design of the Pocket somewhat although its release date has now been delayed until May 2021.

While that may make the Analogue Pocket sound like vaporware, Analogue sells other products like the Mega Sg and a DAC. The Analogue Pocket will be available to pre-order from August 3 at 08:00 PST for US$199.99 in black or white. Analogue is selling multiple accessories for the Pocket too, which will also be available to pre-order from August 3.
The Analogue Pocket may be expensive, but it does have a 615 PPI IPS display that measures 3.5-inches. It also has a 4,300 mAh battery that is rated for up to 6 hours use between charges. Additionally, there is a headphone jack, a USB Type-C port and a microSD card reader.
The console can also be paired with a dock for connecting the Pocket to a TV. The Analogue Dock costs US$99.99 and includes USB ports for connecting wired controllers. There is a Bluetooth modem for connecting wireless controllers too.
