Samsung's Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch FE smartwatches are on sale for a limited time. While the Galaxy Watch 6 costs a few dollars more, it is the one worth buying as it has better features overall.

Samsung announced the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra a few months ago, but it is still selling older models, and a current discount on the Galaxy Watch 6 makes it worth buying. As a matter of fact, it is worth choosing over the Galaxy Watch FE which is on sale, too.

The Galaxy Watch 6 (40mm Bluetooth variant) is currently available to buy from Amazon for just $169.81 and from Samsung for $169.99, a whopping 43% off its list price of $299. The 44mm Bluetooth variant also gets a limited time deal that brings the price down to $189.99 on both sites. Amazon also has the Galaxy Watch FE on sale for $164.64 (18% off its $199 list price). If you are wondering which to buy, the Galaxy Watch 6 (40mm) is the correct choice.

For starters, the Galaxy Watch 6 (40mm) has a larger and brighter 1.31-inch display than the Galaxy Watch FE's 1.19-inch screen. Its Exynos W930 chipset also has a higher clock speed (1.4GHz) than the Exynos W920 clocked at 1.18GHz inside the Galaxy Watch FE. Both watches have 16GB of storage but the Galaxy Watch 6 has 2GB of RAM while the Galaxy Watch FE, which is practically a rebadged Galaxy Watch 4, has 1.5GB of RAM.

Samsung has also packed the Galaxy Watch 6 (40mm) with a larger 300mAh battery than the 247mAh battery inside the Galaxy Watch FE. Despite the bigger display and larger battery capacity, the Galaxy Watch 6 is smaller and thinner than the Galaxy Watch FE. The Galaxy Watch 6's bigger battery also charges faster at 10W while the Galaxy Watch FE charges at 5W.

When it comes to health tracking features, the Galaxy Watch 6 also has the upper hand with its temperature sensor for measuring skin temperature. Last but not least is that the Galaxy Watch 6 has Bluetooth 5.3 while the Galaxy Watch FE has Bluetooth 5.0.

For just ~$5 more than the Galaxy Watch FE's $164.64 sale price, the Galaxy Watch 6 is a no-brainer. It is a pretty decent smartwatch with lots of health tracking features including ECG and blood pressure monitoring. It also still has three years of support left out of the four years promised.
