Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra receives new update with improvements for battery
Samsung has released a new global update for the recently released Galaxy Watch Ultra. This is the second update to reach the smartwatch, which launched at the end of July. The file is 175.85 MB in size and has version number L705FXXU1AXG2/L705FOXA1AXG2/L705FXXU1AXG2.
As with the previous update, this latest release focuses on improving the "stability and reliability" of the Galaxy Watch Ultra. The release follows reports that the wearable has a shorter-than-expected battery life; some users indicated that their watch had failed to last 24 hours, significantly less than the advertised 60-hour runtime with typical use. According to the changelog shared on X, the charging process and battery life are now more stable. Samsung suggests that it has also enhanced the overall stability of the wearable.
While some Reddit users have reported seeing an improvement in the watch's battery life after installing the update, others indicate that they had not immediately found any difference. It is unclear whether Samsung has already made this update available for all Galaxy Watch Ultra users or if it is rolling out in phases. You can check for the update by going to the Galaxy Wearable app, selecting Watch Settings > Watch software update > Download and install.
