New Amazfit smartwatch revealed with curious upgrades over existing GTS 4 Mini
Various sources have noticed the appearance of what could be a refreshed Amazfit GTS 4 Mini (curr. $109.99 on Amazon) smartwatch. For context, Amazfit released the GTS 4 Mini almost two years ago alongside the GTS 4. Incidentally, both continue to receive software updates from Amazfit, unlike some budget smartwatches.
Officially, Amazfit has not commented on releasing a new GTS 4 Mini. However, Gadgets & Wearables claims to have discovered a listing that contains various specifications that are different from the existing model. While an image of said listing has been reproduced on Reddit, we cannot find the associated URL. Consequently, we would recommend taking the image below with a pinch of scepticism for the time being.
Supposedly, the new GTS 4 Mini features a 1.65-inch AMOLED display, up from 1.65-inches in the original model. On top of that, Amazfit has included a digital crown, which contributes to a 3g increase in weight. With that being said, the new GTS 4 Mini is said to be slightly thinner than its predecessor at 8.8 mm.
Moreover, the revised smartwatch is advertised as containing an upgraded PPG sensor and 150 sports modes but a 20 mAh smaller battery (250 mAh). In other words, this new GTS 4 Mini appears to be some sort of re-worked GTS 3. Unfortunately, it remains to be seen whether this new model is real and whether it will be released internationally.
