Garmin Forerunner 955 smartwatch receives new beta update
Garmin beta update 20.21 has arrived for the Forerunner 955 smartwatch. The software was initially rolled out in phases, but the company has since confirmed that the release is now available for all users enrolled in the beta program.
Beta version 20.21 brings a series of bug fixes to the wearable. These include resolving an issue with haptic feedback for some watch face elements and tackling a problem which could lead to missing workouts in some activity profiles. There are also fixes for translation errors relating to pulse ox, sound and vibe, and the Run activity. Plus, problems with interval categorization and audio alerts when using PacePro are now fixed.
The changelog for the Forerunner 955 also lists the addition of the Garmin Share tool and a new Device Settings Backup and Restore, though these and a range of other alterations were also listed for beta update version 20.15. If you have not automatically received beta update 20.21, you can manually trigger it by going to Main menu > Settings > System > Software Update > Check For Updates. Similar updates have also arrived for the Forerunner 165, Forerunner 255, Forerunner 265 and Forerunner 965 wearables.
