Amazfit pushes new BioCharge related features to smartwatches

Amazfit is currently rolling out firmware version 3.8.0.1 to the Bip Max smartwatch. Launched earlier in May 2026, the wearable came with a version 3.3.0.1 update out of the box. The earlier release added Hybrid Training, official marathon training plans and a Training Calendar to the wearable.
The release notes for firmware version 3.8.0.1 have been shared by melianmiko. While the change log lists the three features above as ‘new’, it also mentions four further functions. These include a range of professional running courses, a Pickleball 2.0 sports mode, and support for Gear Management, allowing users to track mileage or running sensors and cycling gear.
Plus, the Amazfit Bip Max smartwatch is getting new BioCharge related tools. The first is a morning status card, found on the watch’s home screen, and the second is trend charts, allowing users to view historical data. On top of this, firmware version 3.8.0.1 is said to bring enhanced details for topographic maps, and the screen-on duration has been increased to 15 seconds. You can find a screenshot of the complete release notes below.
Firmware version 3.8.0.1 is likely rolling out in phases to users of the Bip Max smartwatch (curr. $99.99 at Amazon). When it is available in your region, you will be able to install the update via the Zepp app for iOS or Android.
