Alienware will launch a new wireless mouse next year

Alienware might have not been able to hit the jackpot with its gaming mice yet, but that can change anytime. Although most gamers would rather use a wired mouse, Frank Azor has confirmed that Alienware is currently developing a wireless one which is supposed to hit the market next year.

Alienware might be an iconic brand when it comes to gaming laptops, but its gaming-related accessories often fail in hitting the right spot. For example, the company's gaming mice are often praised for their inspired color schemes, swappable parts, and good performance, but many reviewers also bash them for being too expensive and having a rather uninspired software companion. At last, some users also consider Alienware's gaming mice as having a design that is anything but comfortable, regardless of the grip used.

Now, many Alienware fans are wondering about a possible wireless mouse and, fortunately for them, Frank Azor has just confirmed it. As usual, the Twitter message of Alienware's co-founder and VP General Manager does not include any technical details, but at least we know when will this accessory arrive. "Yes for next year" is everything that the reply to the "any chance you guys are developing a wireless mouse?" question reads, and it should be enough for the time being.

For gamers, wireless mice are, in most cases, what wireless speakers and headphones are for audiophiles — as Metallica's song says — a thing that should not be. If you think that Alienware should go for a wireless mouse — or not — let us know in the comments below.
