Courtesy of an ongoing sale at Lenovo's official US online store, the well-reviewed Idea Tab Pro can now be purchased with a sizable 39% discount. This brings the budget tablet's price down to just around $237.49, making it a whole lot more affordable than usual.
Lenovo Idea Tab Pro offers a large 144 Hz display with pen support
The Idea Tab Pro tablet packs a massive 12.7-inch IPS display, featuring an impressive resolution of 2944 x 1840. Gamers will be pleased to note that high-refresh rate support is present, up to a smooth 144 Hz. Our in-depth review of the tablet does point out a few notable downsides - the display tops out at 400 nits, and its color accuracy is not exactly great.
That said, for most folks with casual usage and media consumption requirements, the overall performance of the display is adequate. Needless to say, slightly pricier offerings with OLED panels will be far better in nearly every conceivable way. Students will also appreciate the included Tab Pen Plus, allowing for a good note-taking experience.
The Idea Tab Pro is not here to set benchmark records
The MediaTek Dimensity 8300 SoC powering the Lenovo Idea Tab Pro tablet is no slouch, although it doesn't come close to the A16-powered iPad 11. For most day-to-day tasks and non-intensive gaming, the tablet should be able to do its job just fine.
A very respectable quad-speaker setup is also on offer, and we found its overall performance to be very decent. Battery life is also simply excellent, lasting around 17 hours in our H.264 video playback test.
At its current price, the Lenovo Idea Tab Pro tablet sports a healthy array of features that is likely to impress most buyers looking for a capable tablet under $250. Interested customers are advised to utilize the "EXTRAFIVE" coupon during checkout in order to take full advantage of the deal.
