Changes include Nvidia GPUs with double the VRAM, thinner and more efficient system fans, and more keyboard backlight options.

The Predator 15 and 17 notebooks are now available through Acer starting at 1800 Euros. Both models are even more powerful than before with new Core i7-6700HQ CPU options, GTX 980M graphics, and up to 64 GB DDR4 RAM. According to Acer, the manufacturer has doubled the VRAM of the Nvidia GPUs with tweaks to the cooling and keyboard lighting.

GeForce GTX 970M with up to 6 GB GDDR5 and GTX 980M with up to 8 GB GDDR5

The Predator 15 and 17 carry 15.6-inch FHD and 17.3-inch FHD/4K UHD displays, respectively. Both models can support up to three external monitors and can be configured with GTX 970M or GTX 980M GPUs.

More efficient cooling with Acer AeroBlade

The "FrostCore" cooling system of the first generation Predator models has now been updated to the "AeroBlade", which Acer claims utilizes one of the thinnest fans available for a notebook. The 0.1 mm thin blades are designed to provide up to 15 percent improved airflow during demanding gaming sessions to prevent any throttling. The fans will operate more silently as well while reducing dust buildup from entering the system.

More lighting options for the keyboard and touchpad

Lastly, the "ProZone" keyboard can be lit separately in five different zones with colors from the full RGB spectrum. While still not as customizable as the individually lit keys of the Lenovo, Aorus, and Razer, this should still allow for a wide range of options for the user. The border of the touchpad can now illuminate red while the keyboard gets a dedicated PredatorSense control panel launcher for customizing shortcuts and macros.
