In its next@acer press event at IFA 2017 in Berlin, Acer announced its slimmest all-in-one (AIO) desktop PC — the Aspire S24. The Aspire S24 is just 5.97 mm thick when viewed from the side. The display is virtually borderless and comes with Champagne-gold accents for an elegant look.
The AIO features a 23.8-inch Full HD IPS display and is powered by the latest 8th generation Intel Core processors. The display can be tilted between -5 to 30 degrees and features Acer ExaColor for accurate color reproduction along with BluelightShield and Flickerless technologies to reduce eye fatigue. Despite the slim form factor, the PC features a 2.1 channel speaker system enhanced by Dolby Audio Premium and Acer TrueHarmony. An Intel Dual-Band Wireless-AC adapter (802.11ac 2x2 MIMO) enables reliable wireless networking. The AIO boasts of fairly generous storage with up to 256 GB SSD and 2 TB of HDD space. It can also be configured with optional Intel Optane memory for even better storage performance. It comes preloaded with Windows 10 and also sports a wireless charging base for Qi-enabled devices.
Acer says the exact specifications and storage options will vary by region. The Aspire S24 will be available in EMEA from November 2017 starting at €999 and in North America from January 2018 at prices starting from US$999.
