The Acer TravelMate Spin P4 is a solid business 2-in-1e. It offers strong performance paired with good endurance, which is a great combination for mobile professionals. Plus, it’s MIL-SPEC tested so it can hold up to the rigors of the office commute and beyond. And of course, you’ve got that 2-in-1 versatility and a healthy smattering of ports. However, if you’re looking for even longer battery life and a better display, you might want to check out the $1,229 HP EliteBook 845 G7. However, you will miss out on some of the performance. But if you’re looking for a solid workhorse of a business laptop with endurance and versatility, the Acer TravelMate Spin P4 is the way to go.

The Acer TravelMate Spin P4 is an attractive choice for professionals who want to remain mobile while still being productive. You get good performance, good battery life, a decent array of ports, great display with touchscreen support, 360° hinge for added versatility, MIL-STD-810H standard build quality, built-in active stylus, good speakers, and built-in webcam privacy shutter. However, it’s not the perfect business laptop by any means. The laptop could be lighter, bezels should be thinner, keyboard feels rather mushy, and the touchscreen isn’t fit for drawing. It’s still a pretty solid choice nonetheless, but if at all possible, do upgrade to 16GB RAM at least so you can maximize your productivity potential.

But then of course, Intel's Tiger Lake processors are great, but fitting them into a form factor like this just makes it a winner. The pen garage makes pen storage optimal, so it's always with you, always charged, and doesn't get in your way, so tablet mode is a breeze. And at the same time, I spent some time playing Halo: The Master Chief Collection. This is just an incredibly versatile machine.

I never thought I'd say this but the business laptop category is heating up. Forget the thick boxy laptops of old, new enterprise notebooks are sleek and stylish. We've seen MSI, Asus and others enter the game recently, and now Acer wants to interrupt the space with the TravelMate Spin P4, a 2-in-1 laptop with a 14-inch display.

The Acer TravelMate Spin P4 is a convertible with an 11th generation Intel processor in a practical 14-inch format. The integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics promises more performance compared to Intel-based devices from the previous generation, and the integrated stylus allows handwritten inputs as well as creative drawings.

The accuracy of the information on Acer's website is disappointing, and the limited range of TravelMate Spin P4 models may deter business users who prefer to configure their laptops in detail. Nonetheless, the Spin P4 is an attractive and affordable workhorse laptop, with a robust convertible design that equips it well for life on the road.

Drawing a conclusion on this notebook is less easy than we expected. Although Acer does a great job on the marketing department, using all the terminology to describe their product and build up the hype, in reality, things stay a bit different. To be fair, we can’t complain about either the battery life or the performance.

The Acer TravelMate P4 Spin (TMP414RN-53) caught our attention with its fair price and adequate performance. The Core i7-1355U P and E cores boost to around 2.72 GHz / 2.10 GHz in longer stress which is a respectable result for a compact transformer. On the flip side, the chip gets hot when loaded at max for a lot of time. This may be a small machine but its port selection is great. The upgradability is almost perfect – you can upgrade the RAM, and replace the Wi-Fi and WWAN cards. The only downside is the single M.2 slot. The 1200p touchscreen (NV140WUM-N41 (BOE0AE8)) is capable enough for normal usage. The unit is PWM-free and its viewing angles are also comfortable. The color coverage and the maximum brightness are nothing to write home about. The TravelMate P4 Spin is a good offer in its class thanks to the long battery life, the solid build, the good comfort under max loads, and the plethora of ports.

Acer: In 1976, the company was founded in Taiwan under the name Multitech and was renamed Acer or Acer Group in 1987. The product range includes, for example, laptops, tablets, smartphones, desktops, monitors, TVs and computer peripherals. Since 2007, the group has merged with Gateway Inc. and Packard Bell, which also market their own laptop product lines.
Acer computers are designed for a variety of purposes, including ultrabooks for mobile use, gaming laptops for gamers, affordable options for everyday tasks, and 2-in-1 convertible laptops for versatility. Acer's product portfolio also includes tablets that offer portable computing and multimedia capabilities.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

14.00:
14 inch display size represents a middle ground between the small subnotebook formats and the screens of the standard 15 inch laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, provides good resolutions with usable detail sizes, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact.
In the past, 14-inch devices were very rare, but now they are the standard for laptops after the 15-inchers.

78.6%: This rating is not earth-shattering. This rating must actually be seen as average, since there are about as many devices with worse ratings as better ones. A purchase recommendation can only be seen with a lot of goodwill, unless it is about websites that generally rate strictly.
