Reviews for the Acer Swift 3X SF314-510G-73NT

This Acer Laptop Is A Nice Work Companion But The Bloatware Needs To Go
Source: Reviewed.com English
It's hard to overstate just how meaningful the Swift 3's size and weight are, and because of that, it makes up for some of its other shortcomings. It’s designed to roll seamlessly into your life and be as unobtrusive as possible and succeeds, making it pleasant to use as a daily carry—and that design is exactly what makes Swift 3 compelling, even when some of its other qualities are less inspiring. It’s not the most powerful notebook on the market, and the configuration options all fall into the middle tier of performance. But for productivity, that’s fine. Core apps, like Word and Google Docs, run seamlessly. Browsing social media, scouring YouTube, and binging Netflix is fast and lag-free. Even light photo editing with Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom is within scope. But beyond that, the Swift 3 hits its glass ceiling. The limited I/O also means you may need to invest in a small USB hub to carry with you.

80% Acer Swift 3X Review: How Good Is Intel’s Dedicated GPU?
Source: Gadgetbyte Nepal English
So, should you buy the Acer Swift 3X when you can get budget gaming laptops with more beefed-up GPU for its asking price? Not quite. The thing this laptop excels at is its portable form factor and display quality, while also being rich in terms of ports. Thus, it is a decent choice for students, or someone learning photo and video creation. But for everyone else, the Iris Xe Max doesn’t add much value. It’s not a gaming beast either and not many apps support its signature feature so far either.

Intel Iris Xe G7 96EUs: Integrated graphics card in Intel Tiger Lake G4 SoCs based on the new Gen. 12 architecture with 96 EUs (Execution Units / Shader Cluster). The clock rate depends on the processor model. The Tiger Lake chips are produced in the modern 10nm+ process at Intel.

Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

i7-1165G7: An upper mid-range, quad-core processor of Tiger Lake product family. The i7 is designed for use in ultra-light (yet actively cooled) laptops; it is manufactured on Intel's third-gen 10 nm process marketed as SuperFin. The CPU cores run at 2.8 GHz (base clock speed @ 28 W TDP) to 4.7 GHz (single-core Boost frequency). This i7 features the 96 EU Intel Iris Xe G7 iGPU; it was the second-fastest CPU of TGL-UP3 line-up when Intel initially launched the series in 2020.» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.

There are hardly any tablets in this display size range anymore. For subnotebooks, on the other hand, it is the standard format.

The advantage of subnotebooks is that the entire laptop can be small and therefore easily portable. The smaller display also has the advantage of requiring less power, which further improves battery life and thus mobility. The disadvantage is that reading texts is more strenuous on the eyes. High resolutions are more likely to be found in standard laptops.

Acer: In 1976, the company was founded in Taiwan under the name Multitech and was renamed Acer or Acer Group in 1987. The product range includes, for example, laptops, tablets, smartphones, desktops, monitors, TVs and computer peripherals. Since 2007, the group has merged with Gateway Inc. and Packard Bell, which also market their own laptop product lines.

Acer computers are designed for a variety of purposes, including ultrabooks for mobile use, gaming laptops for gamers, affordable options for everyday tasks, and 2-in-1 convertible laptops for versatility. Acer's product portfolio also includes tablets that offer portable computing and multimedia capabilities.

81.5%: This rating is slightly above average, there are somewhat more devices with worse ratings. However, clear purchase recommendations look different.
