Acer Extensa 2510-34Z4
The Acer Extensa 2510-34Z4 is an affordable laptop made to be portable with great battery life. Majority of the chassis is constructed from matte black plastic while the top cover and palm rest have a brushed metal finish. Unlike most Acer laptop models, the Acer Extensa 2510-34Z4 does not have a maintenance hatch for upgrades, but this in turn allows for a bigger battery rated at 5000 mAh to be fitted. The Microsoft Windows 8.1 system comes with an Intel Core i3-4030U processor clocked at 1.9 GHz, 4 GB DDR3 single-channel RAM, Intel HD Graphics 4400 and a 500 GB hard disk from Western Digital. Specification is as expected at the price point but it does not mean the Acer Extensa 2510-34Z4 is any less capable of performing everyday task. The matte 15.6 inch 16:9 TN LED display delivers a satisfactory image quality. There is a tactile keyboard and an off-centre mouse pad making it comfortable enough for extended typing and navigation. The 2.5 kg laptop packs in an Intel Lynx Point-LP high definition audio controller, Bluetooth 4.0, a Matshita DVD drive, 2 USB 2.0 ports, 1 USB 3.0 port and a SD card reader. Users will find the Acer Extensa 2510-34Z4 a good laptop for study or work.Specifications

Affordable endurance machine. The hunt for a low-priced and, at the same time, long-lasting office machine has come to an end. The Extensa 2510 not only has long battery runtimes to offer but also brings along a good keyboard and matte screen. The bundle is available for just over 400 Euros (~$525).

Acer has clearly raised the bar in terms of build quality and design with their new Extensa EX2510. With quality design the notebook offers a notch more than average features in terms of hardware and software. To complement its features the Extensa EX2510 has sufficient performance power, making it stand out in its category. One concern though is the pricing, which admittedly is on a higher side compared to the competition. The Extensa EX2510 is priced at AED 1,799 for the above configuration without Windows OS, while the Inspiron 3520 reviewed earlier was tagged for AED 1,999 for the much better configuration including touchscreen and not to forget the Dell branding.

Acer Extensa 2510G
The Acer Extensa 2510G is an affordable 15.6 inch laptop. With a matte-black plastic casing finished off with a subtly brushed metal look, it gives the laptop a slight stylish look. The 15.6 inch non-reflective display features a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and is driven by an Intel HD Graphics 4400 card. Additionally, the Extensa comes with an Intel Core i3, 4 GB DDR3 single-channel RAM, and a 500 GB HDD, which is just enough performance for everyday asks. Furthermore, it sports two USB 2.0 ports, a USB 3.0 port, a VGA port, an HDMI port, a Kensington Lock for security, a standard 3.5 mm audio and microphone combo jack and an SD card slot. For connectivity, the laptop has a Realtek Gigabit-LAN port and a Atheros Wireless Network Adapter, which supports WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 connections. This laptop also has an unlit chiclet keyboard, which provides a good typing feel. Finally, the laptop comes with its own HD webcam and DVD drive, which is rare on laptops nowadays, since it is usually separated from the laptop as an USB optical drive. With 5000 mAh lithium ion battery, it only weighs in at around 2.5 kg, which isn’t that heavy given its display size.Specifications

73.33%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
