ASUS today became the latest company to join the Android 4.4 KitKat party, releasing a rollout schedule for their PadFone tablets. The majority of the lineup will be receiving the OTA update, with all updates expected by the end of Q3 of this year.
For starters, the PadFone 2 will receive a global rollout by the end of Q2 (June 30th) while the PadFone Infinity and PadFone A80 will have the same schedule but will be limited to Asia/Russia and Europe respectively. ASUS's newest device, the New PadFone Infinity, will unfortunately be the latest to get to KitKat, with a global release expected within Q3 of 2014.
The company also announced that the updates will all include ZenUI, ASUS's new custom interface which was introduced at CES this year. More specific information about the ZenUI/Android hybrid and exact dates have been promised for the future, and we'll have to see what ASUS has in store.
