Asus has just announced the addition of the Infinity Lite to its lineup of PadFone smartphone/tablet hybrids and revealed the prices for the Taiwanese market. The technical specs of the newcomer are almost identical to those of its predecessor, the Asus PadFone Infinity.
The Asus PadFone Infinity Lite comes with the following specs and features:
- Processor: quad-core 1.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600
- Memory/Storage: 2 GB RAM; 32 GB internal storage
- Display: 5-inch Full HD Super IPS (phone) and 10.1-inch FullHD Super IPS (tablet dock)
- Cameras: 2 MP front and 13 MP rear with LED flash
- Connectivity: 3G, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS
- Operating system: Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
- Battery: 2,400 mAh (phone) and 5,000 mAh (tablet)
- Weight/Dimensions: 0.32 pounds (phone) and 1.17 pounds (tablet); 5.67X2.87X0.35 inches (phone) and 10.4X7.16X0.42 inches (tablet)
It is not known when and if the PadFone Infinity Lite will reach Europe or the US, but Asus already announced the smartphone will be released next month in Taiwan for 13,990 TWD (about 463 USD), while the tablet dock will cost as much as 7,000 TWD (roughly 230 USD).
