Recent leaks highlighted the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT and Radeon RX 9070's synthetic benchmark performance. Both cards punched well above their weight class and have the potential to give Nvidia mid-rangers a run for their money. Now, a new leak from Chiphell says they'll be relatively light on your pocket, too.
Apparently, the Radeon RX 9070 XT will cost between $479 and $550, depending on the model. If true, this is decent value for money because you essentially get GeForce RTX 4080 Super levels of rasterization performance. It might even take on Nvidia's $549 GeForce RTX 5070, but the Blackwell mid-ranger will almost certainly do better in ray tracing and eke out more performance via software features such as DLSS 4 and multi-frame generation.
But, the Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 will come with 16 GB VRAM. That should give it an edge in VRAM-heavy titles like Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Both SKUs should make for decent 1440p cards, and, on paper, offer better value than similarly priced Nvidia offerings. As always, prices are subject to change at a moment's notice, and while a $550 price tag sounds right for a xx70 XT class card, we won't know for sure until AMD's official confirmation.
