It has been a few months since 8BitDo released a Mecha Break special edition of its Retro 87 Mechanical Keyboard. Shortly after the keyboard was released, 8BitDo, via its Amazon store, knocked 20% off its launch price, bringing the controller down to $95.99 from its launch price of $119.99. If you didn't grab the keyboard back then, you are in luck, as Amazon now has it for a much lower price.
Sold by the 8BitDo official store and shipped by Amazon, the 8BitDo Retro 87 Mechanical Keyboard Mecha Break edition is currently available to buy for $69.59, which translates to 42% or $50 off its launch price. This is the lowest price ever, and it's hard to see it costing any less.
For that price, you not only get the 8BitDo Retro 87 Mechanical Keyboard Mecha Break edition, but also get matching wired Super Buttons, 21 extra PBT keycaps, stickers, a keycap puller, and a USB cable.
The 87-key keyboard, which is compatible with Windows and Android devices, features Kailh Glaze Jellyfish Pro linear switches, matte keycaps with a UV coating, and a customizable RGB backlight. It boasts tri-mode connectivity — Bluetooth, 2.4GHz wireless (dongle included), and wired USB. Like the Xbox edition, it has a 4,000mAh battery capacity and a battery life of up to 300 hours.
In addition, the 8BitDo Retro 87 Mechanical Keyboard Mecha Break edition has a dedicated Windows Game Bar button, double-layered crystal arrow keys, and knobs for adjusting playback volume and switching between connectivity modes. It also works with the 8BitDo Ultimate Software V2.
