16 inch and still lightweight: Schenker Vision 16 (2023) with magnesium chassis, many ports and a 240 Hz screen

Aside from the Vision 16 Pro, Schenker has also updated the regular Vision 16 for 2023. With a weight of just 1.5 kg, it is one of the lightest 16 inch laptops on the market. The low weight is possible thanks to a Magnesium chassis. This lightweight alloy enables a thin construction that just measures 17.1 mm in height. Despite the thinness, the chassis is rigid, though the screen has some wobble.

In terms of the ports, the Vision 16 has good selection that can beat many other office laptops, offering a lot of flexibility. There are many USB C and A ports, a full size SD card slot and HDMI. In the internal space, the Schenker laptop has two SO-DIMM slots and two M.2 SSDs, making the Vision 16 very upgradable.

Schenker has used the Core i7-13700H in the Vision 16. This is a 45 W CPU, which is limited to that 45 W TDP in the Vision 16. This comparably low TDP for this processor is advantageous in terms of heat and noise, but the performance of the CPU suffers - a CPU of the U15 or P28 series would have been better for this laptop, as the power consumption of the CPU is also pretty high.

A highlight of the Vision 16 is the new 240 Hz screen, which was limited to the Pro version with last years model and a special feature for an office device. The screen was well calibrated and it is well suited for simple photo editing, thanks to the near complete coverage of the sRGB color gamut. For prefessional level photo editing, the coverage of the AdobeRGB gamut and DCI P3 gamut is not high enough.

Overall, the 2023 Schenker Vision 16 is a lightweight 16 inch laptop with good connectivity options including Thunderbolt 4 and a full size SD card slot as well as a fast and well calibrated 240 Hz screen.
