The Xiaomi Electric Scooter 5 has appeared on the brand’s global website. This is one of three new models which are due to roll out to markets worldwide, appearing alongside the Electric Scooter 5 Pro and the Electric Scooter Elite. All three variants were leaked earlier this year.
The Electric Scooter 5 follows the Electric Scooter 4, which launched in Europe in 2023. The latest model has several upgrades compared to its predecessor, including a more powerful 700W motor, allowing you to tackle inclines up to 18%. The scooter’s range has significantly increased from 35 km (~22 miles) to 60 km (~37 miles), and the addition of dual spring shock absorbers should make your ride more comfortable.
Other features, like the top speed of 25 kph (~16 mph), a foldable design, the dual braking system, a multifunctional dashboard and 10” tubeless tires, remain the same. On top of this, the new model offers an automatic headlight and tail light, brake lights and indicator lights. Xiaomi has yet to officially announced when the Electric Scooter 5 will launch, or how much it will cost. The leak suggests that the model will go on sale in Europe this Spring for €469. For context, in European countries like Germany, the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 originally retailed for €449.99 but is currently available at Amazon for €333.00.
