Xiaomi has unveiled the Electric Scooter 5 Pro. The model has arrived on the brand’s global website, indicating that this model will be sold in countries worldwide. It appeared alongside the standard Electric Scooter 5 and the Electric Scooter Elite, all of which leaked earlier this month.
Like the Electric Scooter 5, the e-scooter has a top speed of 25 kph (~16 kph) and three speed modes, including a walking mode. However, it has a slightly more powerful rear-wheel motor, with 1,000W rather than 700W peak power, meaning it can tackle steeper inclines of up to 22%. Plus, it is said to feature a Traction Control System (TCS) to enhance stability; no torque estimates have been provided.
Otherwise, its features appear identical to the standard model. These include up to 60 km (~37 miles) range, a multifunctional display at the centre of the handlebars and app-based controls. Dual shock absorbers at the front and rear alongside 10-inch tires help to make your ride more comfortable. Other features include an automatic headlight, an intelligent battery management system, and a foldable carbon steel frame.
The pricing and release date of the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 5 Pro has yet to be officially revealed. The earlier leak suggested that the model would retail for €599. However, a recent report from Dealabs suggests that it will launch in France at €504.99. For reference, the older Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Pro (2nd Gen) launched with an RRP of €549. This model is currently available at Amazon Germany for €429.
