Xiaomi POCO X6 Neo announced with 108 MP camera in another Redmi Note re-brand
The POCO X6 Neo is Xiaomi's latest POCO smartphone and the third member in the POCO X6 series. For reference, the POCO X6 and POCO X6 Pro (curr. $385 on Amazon) have been available globally since mid-January. By contrast, Xiaomi appears set on making the POCO X6 Neo an Indian exclusive, at least initially.
As expected, the POCO X6 Neo is a re-branded Redmi Note 13R Pro. Consequently, the former has a 6.67-inch AMOLED display that outputs at 1080p (2,400 x 1,080), 120 Hz and with 1,000 nits peak brightness. Also, the POCO X6 Neo possesses a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 chipset, UFS 2.2 storage and a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 33 W wired charging. Moreover, Xiaomi includes a 108 MP primary camera, as well as 2 MP depth and 16 MP front-facing cameras.
Unfortunately, the POCO X6 Neo ships with Android 13, even though Xiaomi pre-installs Android 14 on the POCO X6 Pro. While Xiaomi has announced the POCO X6 Neo today, the device will not become orderable until March 18 at 06:30 UTC. Available in Astral Black, Horizon Blue and Martian Orange colour options, the POCO X6 Neo will start at INR 15,999 (~$193) with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage and will rise to INR 17,999 (~$217) for range-topping 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage variants.
