The Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G proved to be a very good mid-range smartphone in our review. It is thinner and lighter than other competing devices. Over the past few years, a lot of mid-range smartphones have become thicker and heavier. Now those who are looking for a slim mid-range smartphone have a very decent option.
The Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite comes with a large 6.55-inch AMOLED screen and is thinner and lighter than the predecessor model Mi 10 Lite 5G. This is why it does not feel as sturdy. The Mi 11 Lite is only 6.8 mm (0.27 in) thick and weighs 159 g (0.35 ℔). There is no other mid-range smartphone that weighs so little. Even the realme 8 Pro, which has a plastic back, is considerably heavier, weighing in at 176 g (0.39 ℔).
According to Xiaomi, the Mi 11 Lite 5G is the thinnest and lightest smartphone in the Mi series. The manufacturer also claims that it is the thinnest 5G smartphone on the market. There are some disadvantages to such a thin smartphone. For instance, the Mi 11 Lite 5G is not very rigid, and it cannot accommodate a large battery. Certain components such as a headphone jack could not be included as well. However, in our opinion, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.

I have always been very passionately interested in mobile technologies, especially smartphones. Being a tech enthusiast means the half-life of my devices isn’t exactly long, and being the latest hardware is not enough to suffice as the manufacturer and operating system play a minor role – the most important aspect for me is that the device is state-of-the-art. After posting for Mobi Test I joined Notebookcheck in 2016, where I have been pursuing my enthusiasm for technology by reviewing the latest smartphone, tablet, and accessory trends.

I am a big fan of technology, which is why I try to keep up with it. Among my other passions are literature and writing, and so it should not be surprising to anyone at all that I have a four-year bachelor's degree in philology. However, my interests are not limited just to the world of technology, or, for that matter, the world of literature. I am also interested in people and the stories they have to tell. And more recently, I took an interest in artificial intelligence.
