AAEON has presented the UP Squared Pro 7000, an x86-based single-board computer (SBC). The UP Squared Pro 7000 will be available with a choice of Intel Alder Lake-N processors, ranging from the Processor N50 to the Core i3-N305.

AAEON has introduced a new edition in its UP Squared Pro single-board computer (SBC) series. The new UP Squared Pro 7000 will be available with the Intel Processor N50, Atom X7425E, Processor N97 and Core i3-N305, which are all Alder Lake-N parts with Intel UHD iGPUs and no Hyper-Threading support. While there are plenty of similarities between the four processors, they offer different TDPs, CPU core counts and Execution Units (EUs) within their iGPUs. For example, the Core i3-N305 has eight CPU cores, a 15 W peak TDP and an iGPU with 32 EUs.

Additionally, AAEON offers the UP Squared Pro 7000 with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 64 GB of eMMC flash storage, which it solders to the SBC. Moreover, the UP Squared Pro 7000 features M.2 2280, M.2 2230, M.2 3052 and SATA 3.0 ports, as well as the following ports:

  • 2x 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet
  • 1x 3.5 mm jack
  • 1x DisplayPort 1.2
  • 1x HDMI 2.0b
  • 2x RS232/422/485
  • 2x USB 2.0 Type-A
  • 2x USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A
  • 1x USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C

Furthermore, AAEON includes a TPM 2.0 module, which should provide support for Windows 11. AAEON will also offer the UP Squared Pro 7000 with an integrated heatsink and as the Edge Computer Kit with a PSU, power cable and the same heatsink and case. The company has not confirmed pricing or availability yet; older models were available for under US$250.
