The UP Xtreme i12 is AAEON's latest single-board computer (SBC) series, having released the UP Xtreme i11 in November 2020. While the latter relied on Tiger Lake processors, the UP Xtreme i12 utilises Intel's more powerful and newer Alder Lake platform. At launch, the UP Xtreme i12 comes with the following processor options:
- Intel Celeron 7305E
- Intel Core i3-1220PE
- Intel Core i5-1250PE
- Intel Core i7-1270PE
Additionally, all UP Xtreme i12 boards contain LPDDR5-4800 soldered RAM, an M.2 2230 E-Key slot, an M.2 3052 B-Key and twin M.2 2280 M-Key slots for adding SSDs. As AAEON's marketing images highlight, the Up Xtreme i12 also has a single SATA 3 connector and numerous other ports:
- 1x 40-pin GPIO header
- 1x DisplayPort 1.4a
- 1x eDP 1.4b
- 1x HDMI 2.0b
- 1x Nano SIM slot
- 2x RJ45 Ethernet
- 1x USB 2.0 Type-A
- 3x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
- 1x USB 4.0 (Type-C)
Currently, the Up Xtreme i12 is only orderable by quote via AAEON's website. For reference, all boards measure 120 x 122 mm and support Windows 10 or Ubuntu 22.04. As Liliputing notes, Windows 11 should not be out of the question though thanks to the inclusion of a TPM 2.0 security chip. Please see AAEON's website for more details about the UP Xtreme i12 and to obtain a quote.
