For those who don't want to or can't spend a lot of money on a tablet, the Oppo Pad SE is arguably worth considering. While it's currently only available at a few European retailers, it can be found for just €269. But the effort can be worth it, as users can look forward to an 11-inch device with a metal chassis and excellent build quality. The chassis can compete with much more expensive tablets and also features relatively narrow bezels around the screen, which makes the Oppo Pad SE visually appealing.
However, the tablet’s runtimes are particularly impressive. Thanks to its 9,340mAh battery, the tablet lasted 23 hours and 23 minutes in our WiFi websurfing test. This means you can comfortably spend an entire day on the couch shopping online, watching videos, and reading, even if a power outlet isn't nearby. Watching movies offline could result in even longer battery life, the Oppo Pad SE could possibly play all Harry Potter movies with some battery charge to spare.
Considering the massive battery, is the Oppo Pad SE also quite heavy? Surprisingly, the answer is no. Thanks to advancements in battery technology over recent years, Oppo has managed to keep the weight very reasonable at just under 1.2 lbs. With a thickness of 0.29 inches, the Android tablet is also quite sleek.
The Oppo Pad SE also comes with lots of RAM, a bright screen without PWM flickering, and four excellent speakers. LTE is onboard as well, so users have internet access on the go and can use the tablet for phone calls. The latter requires a hands-free device or headset, otherwise everyone can listen in.
With that said, we did find a few minor issues. After all, can you expect flagship performance from such an affordable tablet? The answer to that and our final verdict on the Oppo Pad SE can be found in our comprehensive review of the Oppo Pad SE.
