The Redmi Note 8 Pro is now receiving a new update in multiple regions. The latest update for the device brings the November security patch to the European and Russian models of the device, with the Android 11 rollout set to follow soon.

About a month ago, Xiaomi blessed owners of the global model of the Redmi Note 8 Pro with a new update. The Redmi Note 8 Pro is now receiving a new batch of updates across the board, too, although none of the updates bring Android 11.

The update for the Redmi Note 8 Pro this time out is arriving for owners of the phone in Europe. The first update is being seeded to the European model of the device and bears the software designation "V12.0.3.0.QGGEUXM". A similar update is rolling out to owners of the Russian model of the phone, with the OTA delivering software with build number "V12.0.6.0.QGGRUXM". Both updates deliver the November security patch.

According to recent reports, the Redmi Note 8 Pro—and its sibling, the Redmi Note 8—will be among the next batch of devices to receive Android 11. We expect an early beta build to start seeding in China over the next few weeks. Owners in other regions will likely not receive a stable Android 11 update until much later on, however.
