Xiaomi has sent out the stable Android 11 update to a few of its phones, and the next in line is the Poco X2. The Poco mid-range phone is now receiving the stable beta Android 11 update along with the January security update. The Redmi Note 9 4G is getting its first taste of Android 11, too.
After sending out the Android 11 update to the Mi Note 10 Lite earlier this week, Xiaomi has now set its sights towards the Poco lineup, with the company surprisingly rolling out a similar update to the Poco X2.
The update for the Poco X2 bears the designation "MIUI 12.1.2.0 RGHINXM", showing that it is, indeed, an early Android R build for the India-only Poco X2. The update weighs a hefty 2.4 GB and also delivers the January security patch. Of course, it is a stable beta build, so it'll only be sent out to random users initially, pending a full rollout.
The Poco X2 isn't the only phone to get a taste of Android 11. The Redmi Note 9 4G is also receiving a very early Android 11. This is a closed beta build for owners of the phone who registered for Android 11 testing. It is, as expected, only available for Chinese models, as that's the only market where the Redmi Note 9 4G is sold.
