"OnePlus Buds" has just been acknowledged as a real product name by their OEM. The company has also announced that they will launch on the same day as its upcoming first-gen Nord smartphone. The former are expected to be TWS earphones that look much like Apple AirPods.

OnePlus has just partially confirmed what some leaks have been telling us for months, namely that it will release its first pair of TWS earbuds in 2020. They are simply to be called this OEM's 'Buds', and may closely resemble AirPods - albeit with the possible exceptions of extra gray and red accents and the option of black as a main color.

To be more exact, OnePlus has told the world that "now you know the name" and that they are to be TWS in nature. In addition, they will be revealed on July 21, 2020 - the same day as the Nord is slated to launch in AR. Oddly, the company did not mention pre-orders for the Buds in conjunction with this groundbreaking virtual event, as is the case for the upcoming Snapdragon 765G phone.

The OEM has supplied a link that can be followed via the image included with its Buds-introducing tweet; however, it leads to the Nord campaign page at present. As for the phone itself, the OEM has released a new Instagram (IG) teaser touting its 105-degree ultrawide camera over the more old-fashioned (and apparently dangerous) contrivance of the selfie stick.

Indeed, the brand is now promoting this phone as "pretty much everything you could ask for", which, according to the new animated IG post, includes the definite prospect of quad rear cameras. Its remotely-accessed launch will require its iOS or Android app to be viewed on July 21.
