The OPPO Band is a 2020 fitness tracker with a blood-oxygen sensor that launched in China for about US$31. Now, it has reportedly acquired an EEC certification, which suggests that it may go on sale in Russia soon. Therefore, this could this be the first of further global releases for the device.

The OPPO Band is a fitness tracker with a 1.1-inch AMOLED display and an SpO2 sensor, and is thus eerily similar to the OnePlus Band that launched in India recently. Therefore, they both compete with other similar devices such as the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 in their native China.

However, it looks like the OnePlus product may lag behind when it comes to debuting in a different country. A device called the "OPPO Band" has reportedly been spotted on the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) database. This might be a sign that the wearable will be available on the Russian market soon.

Then again, the new documentation gives no hint as to whether its Fashion (NFC-enabled with a less utilitarian band) and EVA (a special edition co-branded with Neon Genesis Evangelion) variants might join it there or not.

As the vanilla Band was priced at 199 yuan (US$31) at its launch, it would be interesting to see how much it would be in its alleged new market. Meanwhile, the Mi Band 5 is already available in the US for about $36.
