OPPO has revealed that it will release a new version of its fitness tracker soon. This "Vitality Edition" has been hyped as supporting continuous sleep- and blood-oxygen tracking thus far. The OEM should outline its specs in full during its upcoming May 6, 2021 product event, which will also see the launch of the upcoming K9 phone and TV.

The OPPO Band is this OEM's take on the fitness tracker that has recently been released internationally. Now, its maker has announced the new, Vitality edition of the wearable. It has been revealed as a product capable of always-on blood oxygen and sleep monitoring, as well as payments through platforms such as WeChat or Alipay.

The Vitality Edition also seems to have a very similar form-factor to the original OPPO Band, judging from its new official teasers. Then again, it also appears to have just 2 strap-color options: "Heatwave" Orange and "Storm" Blue.

The OEM has stopped the new band's teasers there. Accordingly, one can only guess at its price at the moment - however, its new name hints at a pitch at younger consumers, which, in turn, might make it more affordable at launch.

However, that will not be confirmed or denied until OPPO's upcoming May 6, 2021 press conference. The OEM is also slated to launch the K9 smartphone on that date - and is also now said to have a TV by the same name to unveil alongside it.
