The Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro receives optimisations courtesy of its latest software update

Last month, Huawei added a new feature to the Watch GT 2 Pro, its flagship smartwatch. February also brought the Watch GT 2 Pro the ability to respond to SMS directly, courtesy of a third-party app.

Now, Huawei has pushed a new update to the Watch GT 2 Pro, albeit only for devices in China for the time being. Huawei Central and Huawei Update expect this new update to reach devices globally soon, though. Huawei has called the new update 11.0.4.28, bringing the Watch GT 2 Pro up from 11.0.4.22.

According to a screenshot provided by Huawei Update, 11.0.4.28 is a 77.26 MB download. You can push the update to the Watch GT 2 Pro via the Huawei Health app. However, your smartwatch must have at least 20% charge before the update can commence. Oddly, Huawei has only improved system stability with 11.0.4.28, despite it being a 77.26 MB download.
