Tentative Diablo 4 pre-order and release dates confirmed by new leak
It has been four years since Blizzard showed off Diablo 4 at BlizzCon. Although there have been multiple teasers, trailers and developer commentaries, the game still does not have a fixed release date. A report from earlier estimated that it would be launched sometime in 2023. Now, Windows Central has narrowed it down to April 2023.
Diablo 4 will be up for pre-order after a final trailer at The Game Awards (December 8), the report adds. It fits the overall timeline perfectly, given that Blizzard shut down the game's invite-only beta program. However, that didn't stop some intrepid beta testers from uploading their adventures online. Thankfully, the game's ending is still a closely guarded secret. That might not hold for very long, given the frequency of Diablo 4-centric leaks.
Those who missed out on the closed beta program will have another chance to play Diablo 4 before launch. One of the pre-order bonuses includes the ability to participate in the open beta program set to start sometime in February 2023. Official (and unofficial) gameplay videos look promising so far, and it'll be interesting to see how Diablo 4 distinguishes itself from its predecessors.
