The Galaxy S25 Edge comes with a significant compromise in the battery department. The 6.7-inch phone features a paltry 3,900 mAh unit and while it performs decently, a drain test has now shown the difference in battery endurance between the Galaxy S25 Edge and other premium phones.
As tested by The Tech Chap on YouTube, the Galaxy S25 Edge faced off against current-gen flagships like the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, Pixel 9 Pro XL, OnePlus 13, iPhone 16 Pro Max and other models. To no one's surprise, the Galaxy S25 Edge finished dead last, with a total time of 7h 57m. That's down to its small battery, of course, with every other tested Android device sporting batteries with capacities of 5,000 mAh at least.
While Apple usually dominates these tests, the iPhone 16 Pro Max only placed fifth here, right in the middle of the pack, with a total run time of 9h 33m. The complete results are as follows:
- 1. Vivo X200 Pro -13h 11m
- 2. OnePlus 13 - 10h 54m
- 3. Oppo Find X8 Pro - 10h 52m
- 4. Honor Magic7 Pro - 9h 53m
- 5. Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max - 9h 33m
- 6. Sony Xperia 1 VII - 9h 03m
- 7. Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra - 9h 02m
- 8. Xiaomi 15 Ultra - 8h 58m
- 9. Google Pixel 9 Pro XL - 8h 39m
- 10. Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge - 7h 57m
On a mAh/min basis, though, the Galaxy S25 Edge proved nigh-impeccable. It matched the iPhone 16 Pro Max's efficiency of 8.2 mAh/min, with both phones placing second, efficiency-wise. The Vivo X200 Pro led the pack at 7.6 mAh/min, while the Xiaomi 15 Ultra performed worst at 10.1 mAh/min.
Other devices ranked by efficiency from best to worst include the Honor Magic7 Pro at 8.9 mAh/min, the Oppo Find X8 Pro at 9.0 mAh/min, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, Xperia 1 VII, and OnePlus 13 all at 9.2 mAh/min, and the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL at 9.7 mAh/min.
