Xiaomi has confirmed when its latest pair of open earbuds will be available globally. Like the Watch S4 41 mm, these earbuds debuted in late June during Xiaomi's Mix Flip 2 and Redmi K80 Ultra launch event. Not only was the OpenWear Stereo Pro exclusive to China, but the earbuds were also originally known as the Open Earphones Pro.
On the one hand, Xiaomi has revealed that the Open Earphones Pro will be available globally as the OpenWear Stereo Pro. From the looks of things, the OpenWear Stereo Pro will be sold in a choice between beige and grey colour options, just like the OpenWear Stereo before it (curr. $118 on Amazon). As we discussed during June's initial launch, the OpenWear Stereo Pro add features like 96 kHz audio transmission and Harman Master Tuning.
On the other hand, Xiaomi has confirmed that the OpenWear Stereo Pro will land globally on September 24. One of many Xiaomi devices launching next Wednesday, the OpenWear Stereo Pro also boasts IP54 dust and water resistance with Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity and 8.5 hours of battery life on a single charge. Presumably, Xiaomi will announce global pricing next week. For reference, the company charges CNY 999 (~$140) for the open earbuds in China.
