OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G: Affordable 5G smartphone with good features

OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G is a mouthful and not a particularly simple name. But it does make a lot of sense when you break down its components. Put simply, the Nord CE 2 Lite 5G is the Lite version of the Lite version.

The Lite version of the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G

The OnePlus phone is the slimmed-down version of the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G, which itself also belongs to the smartphone middle class and is in turn the lite version of the OnePlus Nord 2 5G. The "CE" in the product name stands for "Core Edition" and means that the Nord CE 2 5G lacks a few features of the Nord 2. The is also true of the Nord CE 2 Lite 5G versus the Nord CE 2 5G. For example, the smartphone is eqipped with an IPS panel instead of an AMOLED screen and the included power supply is limited to 33 instead of 65 watts. In return, OnePlus offers the Nord CE 2 Lite 5G at a lower price.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G officially costs around US$300, but is already available for considerably less in some online shops such as Amazon. Buyers get a well-equipped, 6.59-inch mid-range smartphone. The advantages of the OnePlus include an 120 Hz IPS panel and a 5000 mAh battery, which ensured long runtimes in our tests. Also included are a 64 MP camera with electronic image stabiliser, a 3.5 mm jack and true dual SIM. In addition to two nano-SIM cards, the card slot of the Android 12 smartphone can also accommodate a microSD card.

On the back of a Snapdragon 695 5G, 6 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.2 memory, the Nord CE 2 Lite 5G has solid specs that provide sufficient performance for all everyday tasks. The smartphone also features an accurate GPS, making it particularly suitable for navigation tasks.
