North Edge ECG smartwatch with alleged blood pressure monitor available for US$39

The North Edge ECG smartwatch is now available worldwide via AliExpress. The wearable is listed as having a built-in ECG heart rate monitor and can also be used to measure your blood pressure and blood oxygen levels. Plus, the gadget supposedly has a body temperature sensor. However, the accuracy of any of these health features is unclear. You can also use the device to track your sleep quality and exercise with 11 sports modes available.

You can connect the watch to your smartphone via Bluetooth 5.0 to enable features like calling, message notifications and remote camera and music controls. Other features of the watch include reminders to stand, an alarm and a timer. The ECG smartwatch has a 1.65-in display with a 240 x 280 px resolution. The watch body is 10.7 mm (~0.4-in) thick and weighs 40 g. The gadget is listed as IP65 waterproof, suggesting it should withstand sweat and light rain.

A 170 mAh lithium polymer battery provides up to seven days of battery life with a two-hour charge time. The gadget is available in black or pink and comes with a wide range of watch faces. You can currently buy the North Edge ECG smartwatch at 50% off for US$39; the MSRP of the wearable is US$78. The gadget ships from China, with delivery to the US expected in mid-January.
