Earlier this week, Lenovo began teasing that it had new Motorola smartphones in the pipeline. As we covered at the time, Lenovo confirmed that the Moto X70 Air was on the way with a relatively thin housing. Although the company did not share a specific launch date at the time, it did indicate that the Moto X70 Air would receive a Chinese release later this month.
By the looks of Ytechb's latest leak, the Moto X70 Air will be available globally too. Aligning with a recent Evan Blass post, it seems that the Moto X70 Air and Edge 70 are one in the same device. According to Ytechb, Motorola intends to offer the Edge 70 in Pantone Gadget Gray and Pantone Lily Pad colour options.
However, Blass' prior image suggests that Motorola will sell a third colour option called Pantone Bronze Green. Full device specifications remain unknown for the time being. In the meantime, the images that Ytechb has shared highlight features like a 50 MP primary camera with OIS and an ultra-wide-angle camera with a 120° field of view (FoV).
Also, the photos emphasise that the Edge 70 will depart from the design of recent Edge smartphones like the Edge 60 Pro (curr. $595 on Amazon), which generally rely upon curved displays and subtle camera housings. An Edge 70 global release date remains unknown for now, though. With that being said, Paras Guglani suggests that the Edge 70 could launch for around €690 (~$809) with 512 GB of storage and 12 GB of RAM.
