A source from Lenovo has hinted that its mobile subsidiary Motorola will feature during Qualcomm's imminent launch of the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 SoC. Meanwhile, a famous tipster has claimed that the brand will debut a smartphone with a cutting-edge under-display selfie camera in 2022. This would bring its total of devices with one example of state-of-the-art hardware each up to a potential total of 3.

Chen Jin, who works as the general manager of Lenovo Mobile (China) has been a fountain of official Motorola leaks and teasers as of late. The executive's hints are vague enough that they can be taken to refer to the rumored Moto Edge X, Motorola's rumored first crack at the Snapdragon 8 Gen1, now in the process of being unveiled.

Now, the latest in this series of Weibo posts - posted from an Edge S30, no less hints that this device just might pop up during the ongoing event. Meanwhile, the eminent leaker Digital Chat Station claims that Motorola has secured another form of cutting-edge smartphone tech: under-display selfie camera (or UDC)-ready screen panels.

There is no guarantee that the "Edge X" and this putative first-gen Motorola UDC phone are one and the same - in fact, the former is said to be in line for a 60MP punch-hole instead. Nevertheless, the latest rumor is looking more plausible in the presence of others pointing to an inaugural 200MP device from the same company.
