Motorola confirms an Indian launch for the Moto G51
The Motorola Moto G51 offers a 120Hz (albeit LCD) display, a 50MP main camera and the new Snapdragon 480+ processor. Now, the OEM's Indian division has made its release to that country official. The new Android smartphone will be sold through its usual retail partner, Flipkart.
Neither party has mentioned a price for the G51 in the country as yet; for context, it had initially been launched globally with a recommended price of ~US$260 (~INR 19,590). However, Motorola India has already strongly hinted that the device would offer "true 5G".
It is not clear what this new buzzword might entail, although it is most likely that the Moto G51's Qualcomm chipset can support a wide gamut of Indian 5G bands. This, however, still depends on confirmation via Flipkart's new sale page, which should be live by December 10, 2021.
