Marshall reveals new Patta limited edition Emberton II portable speaker
Marshall and Patta have announced a collaboration on a new limited edition version of the Emberton II portable speaker. The Amsterdam-based streetwear brand had previously worked with the amp and speaker manufacturer in 2022 and announced their renewed partnership late last year.
The design of the Emberton II Patta celebrates Caribbean sound system culture. The sides are a mix of vivid orange and OSB wood effect fabric, with a multi-colored grille to denote the brand's Surinamese heritage. Alongside these elements are a Marshall speaker's regular gold accents, including the company's logo across the front and the Patta logo at one end.
Aside from the design, the portable speaker is the same as the original model. It contains two 2-inch full-range drivers, two passive radiators and two 10W Class D amplifiers for a frequency range of 60 Hz to 20 kHz and a maximum volume of 87 dB. Stack mode lets you connect multiple speaker units for a more immersive audio experience, and True Stereophonic technology delivers 360° sound. You can connect to the speaker via Bluetooth 5.1, with controls for settings like EQ available via an accompanying app. Plus, a built-in battery provides over 30 hours of runtime, recharging via USB-C. The gadget weighs 700 g (~1.5 lbs) and is rated as IP67 water and dust-resistant.
The Marshall x Patta Emberton II limited edition portable speaker will go on sale at 12 PM GMT on February 23rd for £179.99 (~$230). The brand notes only a "very limited quantity" of the product will be available. The original version of the device is currently discounted by 26% from $169.99 to $125.00 in the US at Amazon.
