In the last few days, there have been an increasing number of suggestions that Google could be pulling forward its annual Pixel launch event again after doing so last year for the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro (curr. $619 - refurbished on Amazon) and other devices. To recap, Google announced its four current flagships just ten months after the introduction of the Pixel 8 series. As a result, Google got the jump on Apple, which continued to unveil new high-end iPhones in September.
A few days ago, a new Pixel Superfans teaser prompted speculation that Google is preparing for a late June or early July 2025 launch event. According to elusive leaker Arsène Lupin, that may not be accurate. Instead, this year's Pixel event will occur on August 13 to align with the first anniversary of its Pixel 9 flagships.
However, while Android Headlines adds that pre-orders for all models should commence on the same day, they will begin shipping on August 20, 48 hours earlier than last year's models. Based on recent leaks, Google is set to follow up last year's models with direct successors.
To that end, at least one Pixel 10 model has already been caught during the filming of a future commercial. Unusually, hardly any concrete deatils about the Pixel 10 series have emerged yet. That which has surfaced so far indicates that even the entry-level Pixel will arrive with a telephoto camera this year, though.
