The Pixel 9 series of smartphones were touted as the world's definitive Android 15 flagships on their debut in August 2024. Their successors, on the other hand, are now projected to do so about a month (if not more) earlier this year thanks to Google's latest missive.
The Mountain View giant is now accepting applications to win a spot as one of its "Pixel Superfans": an exclusive 'club' of just 25 members afforded the chance to go hands-on with new hardware prior to its release.
The Superfans are scheduled to assemble on June 27, 2025 - although their "invitation" implies that their ultra-rare meeting is not so much a launch as a vlog opportunity with successors to the Pixel 9, 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL and 9 Pro Fold well in advance.
Nevertheless, the news has sparked predictions that the 10 series will indeed be unveiled to the public soon thereafter, in July 2025 if not later in June.
The event will be held at a location Google has dubbed the "Pixel Penthouse", also known as London SE1 1UN: a postcode that does indeed correspond to a high-end venue called the Menier Penthouse on Southwark Street.
