Humane AI Pin begins shipping in March

After being showcased at a TED Talk event in July, the AI Pin became available for pre-orders in November. But during the full unveiling, Humane didn't specifically say when it will start to ship. It only revealed that the devices wouldn't reach the users' hands until early 2024. Now, the company has narrowed down the date. It confirmed that the AI wearable will begin shipping in March 2024.

But don't expect to receive the Humane AI wearables early if you're just placing a pre-order. As the official post says, "Those who placed priority orders will receive their AI Pins first." Humane will also consider how quickly you placed a pre-order for the device.

To be precise, Humane said, "We are shipping all orders in the orders they were received, based on the date of purchase." This means the pre-orders for the AI wearables placed first will be out for shipping first.

If you missed our coverage on Humane AI Pin when it launched, it's basically a wearable device powered by AI. It packs an unspecified Snapdragon chipset inside, and instead of a display, it features a projector that can project info on surfaces such as the user's hand.

The AI integration in this Humane wearable allows it to handle different actions such as language translation, voice-based messaging, looking up information, catching up on emails, and more. Now, even though you may not be able to get your hands on the Humane AI Pin first, it's still up for pre-orders. On Humane's site, the AI wearable starts at $699, and it requires a $24 monthly subscription for cellular data and a phone number.
