After releasing the Honor Magic V5 in China last month, Honor is now preparing for the release of its second foldable for the year. This device, the Magic V Flip2, will arrive as a rival to Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip7 (buy on Amazon) and could be imminent.
As shared by leaker Fixed Focus Digital, the Honor Magic V Flip2 is being readied to debut next week. The leaker claims the clamshell-style foldable could launch on Tuesday or Wednesday next week. Ergo, August 19 or 20.
While Honor is yet to hint at the release of the Magic V Flip2, the foldable has now been teased by fashion designer Jimmy Choo. The co-founder of the popular brand confirmed the upcoming release of the foldable while sharing design sketches on Instagram hours ago:
We are honored to once again collaborate with HONOR, weaving our signature haute couture vision into the creation of the new HONOR Magic V Flip2.
The back cover features an exquisite crystal inlay, where cutting-edge innovation meets the timeless artistry of crystal to create a dazzling interplay of light with every graceful fold and unfold. This masterpiece is crafted to celebrate the brilliance of women, an invitation to shine with elegance and confidence.
The full story will be revealed soon. Stay tuned."
As for the Magic V Flip2 itself, previous reports indicate it will sport a 5,500 mAh battery and 80 W wired charging. It's unlikely to feature Qualcomm's top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 Elite, however, with a sub-premium chipset like the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 currently viewed as more plausible.
