Honor Choice TWS earbuds launch for US$34.99 with touch controls, up to 24 hours of battery life and IP54 certification
Honor has launched its latest set of true-wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds, the Honor Choice True Wireless Earbuds. The Honor Choice follows the Magic Earbuds that the company released earlier this year and are a rebranded version of the Earbuds X1 for global audiences. However, while the latter retails for €99 in the Eurozone or £89.99 in the UK, the Honor Choice comes in at just €34.99, US$34.99 and £34.99 respectively.
Honor boasts that its new earbuds can last up to 6 hours of music playback on a single charge or four hours of call time. Additionally, the company claims that the charging case can hold "another three full charges". Hence, you should get a total "combined playback" time of 24 hours before you should need to recharge the earbuds and the case. The caveat here is that these battery life estimates only apply with the volume set to 50%.
The Honor Choice also has 7 nm drivers that the company states produce "clear vocals with clean deep base", especially at medium and high-pitched frequencies. The earbuds have an impedance of 16 ohms, for reference. There are also four microphones onboard that use Digital Sign Processing technology to minimise background noise. There is no active noise cancellation (ANC) as there is on the Magic Earbuds, though.
The earbuds are IP54 certified too and feature the touch controls that Honor incorporated on the Magic Earbuds. The company also includes three sets of ear tips in the box, along with a USB Type-C charging cable.
The Honor Choice True Wireless Earbuds support the AAC and SBC Bluetooth audio codecs and communicate with devices via Bluetooth 5.0. Honor claims that earbuds can operate at a latency of 130 ms too. The earbuds are available to order from AliExpress or Cdiscount in France.
