Honor tried to augment its line of mid-range Android smartphones with a new Ultra flagship in 2024, for a total of 3 variants launched at once. However, only 2 devices are mentioned in the latest leak related to their successors, thereby possibly hinting that the 300 Ultra will fail to get a next generation this year.
Furthermore, 1 of the survivors will apparently switch to a 6.5-inch display, as opposed to the very standard 6.7 inches of the Honor 300.
Its single sibling might stick with the same 6.78-inch dimensions as the 300 Pro, and both are rumored to keep the 1.5K resolution of their up-to-4,000 nit AMOLED predecessors.
The "400" is also tipped to embrace the flat-screen trend, while the "400 Pro" sticks with a micro-curved panel for consistent bezels on all 4 sides.
The former is also tipped to pack the new 'Qualcomm SM7750' (or "Snapdragon 7 Gen 4") SoC into its more compact chassis, not to mention an enlarged battery. Now, it is tipped to have the same 7,000mAh in rated capacity - at least - as its Pro counterpart, suggesting that it might land as a more affordable alternative to devices like the rumored OnePlus 13T.
Should that be the case, it will be interesting to see if it might be as thick as the 13T looks in its latest render, whereas the 300 is touted as a super-slim handset by contrast.
We may only have to wait until about May 2025 to find out, as Honor is said to unleash the 400 series then, with the foldable Magic V4 as a much more premium alternative.
