Renders and specifications of a new HMD smartphone have leaked online. The upcoming Android smartphone from the Finnish brand is reported to launch as the HMD Ace 5G, and while it packs decent specs, it is not expected to arrive until 2026.
The leak was posted on X by HMD_Meme's, the account known for HMD-related leaks. According to the source, the HMD Ace 5G will have a 6.67-inch p-OLED display with an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Leaked renders of the phone show it will have a centered punch hole for the front-facing camera and moderately slim bezels.
The HMD Ace 5G is revealed to be powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3, the same chipset inside the Honor 400 Smart (available on Amazon.de for €219.90). The processor will be paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, which seems to be the only configuration that will be available.
For its cameras, the source has revealed that the HMD Ace 5G will have a 50MP primary camera with OIS on the back, along with an 8MP ultrawide-angle camera, and a 2MP camera, which should be a depth sensor. It will also have a 50MP front-facing camera.
The source also mentioned that the HMD Ace 5G will have an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance, a programmable button on the left side, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner despite having an OLED display. It will also have stereo speakers and pack a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast wired charging. HMD will provide 3 years of OS updates and a 1-year warranty.
There's no info about the price, but it is expected to be announced during MWC 2026. When it arrives, it has been revealed that it will be available in Pristine White, Ebony Black, and Candy Pink. Thankfully, the leaked renders show the phone in all three colors. They also show that the HMD Ace 5G will have a rear design that looks like a mashup between the dual camera design of the iPhone 17 and the extended camera island of the iPhone 17 Pro.
